Artistic expression is a way of communication and representation that uses different techniques and art materials that favour and enrich the creative process. Podemos diferenciar tres etapas: THE SCRIBBLING STAGE (1-3 years) - Disordered scribbles: First disordered scribbles are simply records of enjoyable kinesthetic activity, not attempts at portraying the visual world. -Ordered scribbles: After six months of scribbling, marks are more orderly. -Name scribbles: Soon they begin to name scribbles, an important milestone in development. THE PRESCHEMATIC STAGE (3-5 years) During this stage the schema (the visual idea) is developed. The drawings show what the child perceives as most important about the subject. There is little understanding of space. The use of color is more emotional than logical. El desarrollo de las nuevas tecnologías ha facilitado la comunicación entre las personas y además el aprendizaje en las aulas ha cambiado con el uso de estas. La OMS marca los siguientes tiempos para el uso de las nuevas tecnologías en función de la edad: Bebés (0-2 años): desaconsejable Niños (2-5 años): máximo 1h al día Niños y adolescentes (5-17 años): máximo 2h al día sin hacer excepciones los fines de semana Destacando la importancia de que los contenidos y el tiempo deben estar supervisados por un adulto.

Hoy voy a hablaros sobre la importancia de la expresión corporal para el niño. We can define corporal expression as a means of communication that uses the body as an instrument to exchange and share information.  It helps him to: Self-knowledge: the child knows the possibilities of his body through trying. Knowlegde of objects: the child manages objects to know his own body. Knowledge of others: when he discovers that other peopple are different, this is the first step to socialization.

En ocasiones podemos encontrar en el aula un rincón dedicado a la lectura, este es el "reading corner" Uno de los grandes beneficios que tiene es que el niño se hace autónomo en el uso de los libros. Las características que debe presentar este rincón dedicado a la lectura son las siguientes: Los libros deben estar a una altura accesible para los niños Debe ser un lugar cómodo (pueden usarse cojines, alfombras...) El lugar debe ser tranquilo y estar bien iluminado Es una buena idea incluir materiales para arreglar los libros En cuanto a los tipos de libros, podemos distinguir los siguientes: Interactive: it´s  book between a book and game (“press here, ¿puedo mirar tu pañal?”) Image books: one image, one page (“that´s not my tiger, ¡al cole!”) Poetry books: books with poems (“de boca en boca y rio porque me toca, winter poems”) Picture books: the picture are as important as the text (“little red ridding hood, los tres cerditos”) Educational books: a book with a educational...

Hoy voy a hablar sobre "the four pillars of learning" (Jacques Delos, 1996) Estos 4 pilares del aprendizaje son fundamentales para remodelar la educación: Learning to know: proporcionar las herramientas cognitivas necesarias para entender mejor el mundo. Learning to do: proporcionar las habilidades que permitan a las personas participar en la economía y sociedad. Learning to be: proporcionar habilidades autoanalíticas y sociales que permitn a los individuos desarrollar su máximo potencial para llegar a ser una "persona completa" Learning to live together: exponer los derechos humanos, principios democráticos, respeto, relaciones humanas...que permitan a los individuos y a la sociedad vivir en paz y harmonía.
